Let’s Ride Le Crazy Horse – Sexy Paris and Its Best Kept Secrets
When we think of Paris, most of us think of the Eiffel Tower (though surely not as a phallic symbol), Arc de Triomphe, Musée de Louvre, Château de Versailles and the river La Seine. While it’s all nice and charming, there is a naughty side to the City of Light that’s unquestionably worth exploring.
It is a well-known fact that the French capital has manifested for centuries an unparalleled openness about amour, an erotic omnipresence that would make any non-National blush in awe. The Parisian sensuality and affirmation of carnal pleasures has been an ever-present element of art, architecture and culture, thus making the French city a synonym for desire, seduction and bodily indulgence.
Just think of the revealing lingerie (and so much more) shows of Moulin Rouge, the kinky temptations of Place Pigalle, and the recently opened Hotel Amour. While most of us associate the mentioned places with the aphrodisiac world of Paris, there are a few more sexy Paris secrets, waiting to be uncovered.
Here is a short list thereof:
Besides Moulin Rouge the most famous cabaret in Paris. The difference between the two: it’s way more sensual, intimate and the girls are wearing (almost nothing more than) Louboutins. Among its guest stars are Dita von Teese and Pamela Anderson. A must-see when you’re in Paris and my absolute favorite.

When you‘re in the mood for exploring the history of explicit art, visit the Erotic Museum in the heart of Pigalle. Among countless art pieces and suggestive sculptures, you’ll find Kind Edward’s VII of United Kingdom siege d’amour (love seat), which he favored on his stopovers at the famous brothel, Le Chabanais.

If you’re enjoying swimming au naturel, do some skinny-dipping or have a dive in your birthday suit in the municipal swimming pool Piscine Roger le Gall. Just make sure to do it within the hours reserved for the Naturist Association of Paris, otherwise you’re risking scaring the pants off of locals arriving here for a regular swim.

Have a corset made to measure by the most renowned corsetier (corset maker) in town. Choose your unique design of the racy garment, made of cotton, silk or leather, and have it crafted to your taste and desire. Book an appointment early, as the honored with the prestigious title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Best Craftsmen of France) designer is quite busy tightening corsets for the crème de la crème of Paris.

Rediscover your naughty side in this prominent school of feminine performance, and try pole dancing, burlesque strip tease, cabaret or even Zumba. If you’re talented enough, they may select you as replacement for one of the girls of the Crazy Horse.

Enjoy an intimate dinner in the restaurant’s private salons, where it’s sufficient to ring the bell to have the next course served into your room. Take a seat at the bar and feel the spirit of Victor Hugo, Emil Zola and Voltaire, who frequented this mythical Saint-Germain landmark overlooking La Seine.

Admire art at its best in the erotic gallery of the 15th Arrondissement, featuring artistic indiscretions and sensual visions in various forms and media. Concorde, the French number one seller of intimate novelty products (otherwise known as kinky toys), is behind this venue for high erotic pleasure.

Book an afternoon at the hotel of your choice (in a discreet way, without leaving the trace of your credit card number), to relax, have a drink or get naughty with your partner. Add a touch of infidelity to your relationship, and try the day use fare offered by a growing number of Parisian hotels.

Whatever you do during your visit to Paris, don’t forget to be naughty while enjoying the City of Light’s sexy atmosphere.

I love Crazy Horse! I even took my aunt and uncle to see the show a year ago; they LOVED it. I've never been able to catch it when Dita is 'in residence' though.
I'm definitely going to check out the corsets you mentioned.
xx
Me too:) I've been there twice and every time it was such a stunning show that I would would be under its spell for a long while. Just thinking of it gives me goose bumps. Oh, and the corsets must be nice too. It's a shame I haven't tried one yet. Thank you for popping in Stylopedia:)
